Lead in Drinking Water

The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) has recently made revisions to strengthen the Lead and Copper Rule to further keep communities safe from lead in drinking water by taking steps to remove lead from drinking water. One new requirement is that an inventory of all service lines must completed by all water utilities throughout the United States.

The City of Grand Prairie has been and continues to be committed to providing clean and safe drinking water free from lead. This inventory is an important step in protecting public health and minimizing the risk of lead entering your drinking water from fittings and fixtures in your home.
