Right-of-Way and Property Management Functions

The Right-of-Way and Property Management Office manages the City of Grand Prairie real estate functions that include:

  • Acquisition of rights-of-way and easements for city projects
  • Acquisition of sites for city facilities and parks
  • Sale of surplus city-owned real property
  • Sale of tax foreclosed real estate struck-off to the city (View solicitation of bids for tax foreclosed properties.)
  • Abandonment of city rights-of-way (both street and alley) and city easements
  • (Easements that are strictly for the use of specific franchised utilities, like electric or natural gas, must abandoned through that specific provider.)
  • Licenses and access permits for private use of city property
