The site of the former Town and Country Furniture store will be redeveloped soon into Gibson Apartments with 100 units.
Peninsula Point on the northeast corner of Lake Ridge and England parkways is open. The 4,000-square-foot gas and convenience store also has a 4,000-square-foot retail component for three tenants, the first retail on the Estes Peninsula.
Right behind the gas station, the Mansions of Grand Prairie luxury apartments are under construction to open mid-year. The Mansions also include 5,500 square feet of retail and restaurant on the ground floor.
Lake Ridge Commons on Lake Ridge and Hangar Lowe will break ground soon on 98 single-family homes on 91 acres. Apartments with ground floor retail will be constructed later.
Mira Lagos Townhomes North will be constructed on the southwest former of Lake Ridge and England Boulevard and scheduled to open in late 2020. These gated, high-end townhomes are restricted for ages 55 and older, and share a pool, amenity building and landscape common spaces.
Mira Lagos Townhomes South are under construction on the southwest corner of Lake Ridge and South Grand Peninsula Drive and scheduled to open in late 2020. These 87 units are not age restricted and offer front doors and porches facing open space instead of streets.
Construction on the 154-unit Retreat Senior Apartment Community at Belt Line near Warrior begins this year, and the 273-unit Southerland Apartments at Robinson and Forum will open by year end.
City Council approved the Kalterra Development at Forum and SH 161 which may include 102 single-family townhomes with gated entry and an amenity center. It will also include 325 multi-family units, retail, restaurant, office space and two hotels on the frontage road. The development will also include open space and trails.
