Disasters occur with little or no warning. Knowing the hazards that can affect you and how to properly prepare for them are vital to your safety. A little preparation could protect your life and the lives of those around you! The following three steps are easy ways that you can improve your preparedness.

Know the Hazards

Natural Hazards – Natural hazards are any severe weather or climate conditions that occur naturally in our area.

Make a Plan

Do you know where your family would meet if a disaster happened and you were separated? When disaster strikes, city services may be cut off and local disaster relief and government responders may not be able to reach you.

Make a Kit

After an emergency, help may not be able to get to you right away. It is important that you have enough supplies to last you 72-hours. This guide will show you some of the key items to include in your emergency kit.
