The City of Grand Prairie adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year’s tax rate.The tax rate will effectively be raised by 2.13 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $-.22. In accordance with Tax Code § 26.05(b)(2).
The Animal Shelter Advisory Committee provides advice and recommendations to the city council related to the Animal Shelter and general animal control throughout the community.
Meets bi-monthly, usually the fourth Thursday in January, March, May, July, September, and November at 6:30 p.m. at the Prairie Paws Adoption Center Conference Room, 2222 W. Warrior Trail.
Up to thirteen members: Nine members shall be citizens; One member shall be a licensed veterinarian; One member shall have duties which include the daily operation of an animal shelter; One member shall be the city’s Animal Services Manager; and one member shall be a representative of an animal welfare organization.
