Permits Required Information

Permits Required. (Ref. 2021 IRC & IBC Section 105.1)

Any owner or owner’s authorized agent who intends to construct, enlarge, alter, repair, move, demolish or change the occupancy of a building or structure*, or to erect, install, enlarge, alter, repair, remove, convert or replace any electrical, gas, mechanical or plumbing system, the installation of which is regulated by this code, or to cause any such work to be performed, shall first make application to the (Building Inspections) and obtain the required permit.

  • Definition: Structure - That which is built or constructed.
  • All permit applications must be reviewed before authorization and issuance. Review times vary and may take several days depending on type of application. Please contact our office via email at information@gptx.org regarding submittal options.
  • Permit fees can be paid in person at City Hall (300 W Main St.) or online. Learn more about permit fees.
