Noise Restrictions

Maximum permissible sound levels are outlined in the City of Grand Prairie's Code of Ordinances - Article XIII ("Noise Restrictions"). In summary, residential structures or properties, average (over 15 minute time period) equivalent sound levels (in decibels):

6 a.m. to 10 p.m. = 65 db

10 p.m. to 6 a.m. = 58 db

Noise may not exceed 20 db over these limit at any time in a measured period.

How do I report a noise issue?
