The city of Grand Prairie is pleased to announce the launch of TextMyGov, a new text messaging service system between residents and the City of Grand prairie.
This service will allow you to quickly access information and report issues, all through texting.
To get started simply text Simply text the word Hi to 972-640-4789. You will be prompted to send a message containing keywords relevant to your request, such as: WATER BILL, BRUSH PICKUP, ELECTIONS, PERMITS, CODE VIOLATION, POTHOLE, or MISSED GARBAGE COLLECTION.
TextMyGov is free to use (regular data and message rates apply) and you don’t have to create an account or download an app!
Residents can also sign up to receive city-wide text alerts. Text GRANDPRAIRIE to 91896 to be added to the notification list.
Receiving text alerts is optional. You can opt out at any time by texting STOP to 91896.
