New Supplier Service Portal

New Supplier Self-Service Portal Coming Soon. A link to the new portal will be provided October 1. Check back soon.

As part of the Workday implementation, the City will launch a Supplier Self-Service Portal that allows suppliers to conveniently manage their business relationship with the City.

Through the portal, suppliers will be able to:

  • Register to do business with the City
  • Register for upcoming solicitation opportunities
  • Complete supplier onboarding requirements
  • Update company information, including addresses, contacts, and commodity code(s)
  • Maintain supplier records for payment processing
  • View and manage supplier account information

Vendors and Suppliers

Current City Suppliers

Suppliers who have received payment from the City of Grand Prairie for goods or services within the past 24 months will have their existing supplier information converted from the City's legacy financial system into Workday.

After the Workday system is live on October 1, 2026, suppliers should review their information in the Workday Supplier Self-Service Portal to verify that company contacts, addresses, and payment information are accurate and up to date.

Electronic Payments (ACH)

The City encourages suppliers to enroll in Automated Clearing House (ACH) payment processing for approved invoices.

Benefits of ACH payments include:

  • Faster payment processing
  • Enhanced payment security
  • Reduced risk of lost or delayed checks
  • Convenient direct deposit into your designated bank account

Suppliers may continue to receive payment by paper check if preferred; however, ACH is recommended as the most efficient payment method.

We appreciate your partnership and look forward to providing a more efficient, transparent, and user-friendly procurement experience through Workday.

  • Access bid and proposal documents
  • Download addenda and solicitation updates
  • Submit electronic bid and proposal responses
  • Track solicitation status throughout the evaluation and award process
  • Execute contracts electronically using secure digital signatures

Important: All suppliers wishing to participate in future City procurement opportunities — including current bidders — must register in Workday Strategic Sourcing. Registration in the City's previous procurement system (Planet Bids) will not transfer to the new platform.

Customers

We are committed to providing you with the best possible experience and maintaining the security and efficiency of our systems. To support this goal, we are transitioning to new, upgraded accounting systems Workday and Teller.

Please note that this transition will not impact water billing, as that particular Department underwent its own system upgrade in a previous year.

Our Finance team will now be upgrading and enhancing several key systems to improve performance, reliability, and security. You may notice changes in the way other billings look and how you can pay your bill. The new features of Workday and Teller are designed to streamline processing of payments by providing faster response times and a more intuitive user-friendly option for accepting and posting payments.

The new systems will go live October 5, 2026, with a transition period September 19 through October 4, 2026. The process is carefully planned to minimize disruption; however, temporary delays to some services may occur during the upgrade window.

Thank you for your patience and support as we work to make our systems better for everyone!
