Options for Solid Waste Verification

All businesses are required to maintain trash service. Certificate of Occupancy applicants must choose one of the following options and submit required documentation to the Public Health and Environmental Quality Department before a Certificate of Occupancy will be issued. Option 1: Contract Republic Services for Dumpster Service

1. Call Republic Services at 817-261-8812 to set up garbage service for your business. (No other company may be used.)
2. Sign a service agreement with Republic and pay your deposit. (You will need to schedule when to start your service, the appropriate size of your container and the frequency of collection.)
3. Present a copy of the contract for container garbage collection to City Hall at 300 W. Main St., 2nd Floor.

Option 2: Obtain Permission from Tenant/Landlord for Use of Facility's Dumpster

1. Fill out the Tenant/Landlord Solid Waste Verification Form(PDF, 45KB).
2. Applicant must have the landlord sign the form giving applicant permission to use the facilities dumpster.
3. Deliver copy of the Tenant/Landlord Solid Waste Verification Form to City Hall at 300 W. Main St., 2nd Floor.

Option 3: Request Commercial Bag Service through the City

Applicant can request commercial bag service. Bag service is approved on a case by case situation by the city's Solid Waste Division. Auto related businesses and health permit applicants do not qualify for bag service. Please be advised that this option may take three to five days longer to process the request.

1. Fill out the Application for Commercial Bag/Cart Service(PDF, 145KB).
2. Deliver to the Solid Waste Division at 1102 MacArthur Blvd., Grand Prairie, TX 75050 (check landfill operating hours at 972-237-4562).
