Celebrate National Night Out 2026 in Grand Prairie

Grand Prairie is celebrating the 43rd annual National Night Out on Tuesday, Oct. 6, a nationwide crime prevention event that brings neighbors and local law enforcement together.  

Residents across the city will head outside for neighborhood block parties with their neighbors, police officers, firefighters, EMS paramedics, and City officials.  

It’s an opportunity to build connections, strengthen neighborhoods and partner with law enforcement in the fight against crime. 

Kick Off National Night Out at EpicCentral 

The celebration begins with a National Night Out Kickoff Party at EpicCentral. Get the whole family ready for a night of food, music, entertainment, and fun on Saturday, Sept. 26, from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. on the Grand Lawn.

Then, on Tuesday, Oct. 6, neighborhoods throughout Grand Prairie will take the celebration to their own streets for block parties with neighbors, police officers, firefighters, EMS paramedics and City officials. 

The annual event gives residents and law enforcement an opportunity to work together to build safer, stronger neighborhoods.  

Most importantly, it’s a chance to put names to faces, meet the people who serve your neighborhood and strengthen the relationships that help communities look out for one another. 

Host a National Night Out Block Party 

Want to bring National Night Out to your street? Host a block party and turn your neighborhood into the place to be on Oct. 6. 

How to Host a Block Party 

Step 1: Get with your HOA to confirm the site/house you will have the party at.

Step 2: Register through our link (Registration ends after 9/28/2026).

Step 3: Send out invitations to your neighborhood and see if anyone wants to help set up your party. 

Step 4: Decide what food, drinks, activities you will have at your party.

Step 5: Delegate tasks to neighbors so the party goes smoothly. 

Step 6: Get decorations, tables, speaker (if needed), etc. 

Step 7: Set up the party and have FUN with your neighbors and special guests (GPPD, GPFD, City Officials).
