The Adopt-a-Street program is a cooperative effort between the City, residents, businesses, clubs, and organizations to keep our city streets clean and beautiful. Interested parties may adopt a section of roadway in Grand Prairie from the “Available Streets” list. Once the adoption has been approved and the first cleanup report has been submitted, groups will be recognized by having their group name included on the Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful website.

If interested in picking up litter on Grand Prairie roadways as a one-time event, contact the KGPB Coordinator at kgpb@gptx.org
Groups can adopt a street for two years. Groups in Good Standing or better will have their adoption automatically renewed. Groups are required to clean their street three times a year and submit three cleanup reports through the Adopt-a-Street webpage. Cleanup includes both sides of the streets and medians and 12 feet from the back of the curb.
Groups that have completed their first cleanup report will be added to the Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful website as an official Adopt-a-Street member. Groups that submit a photo with their cleanup report will have their photo and group name included in a social media post on the City of Grand Prairie page(s). Submitted photos may also be used as promotional material and/or for grant and/or award applications.
As of August 1, 2021, new adoptions will no longer include a set of Adopt-a-Street signs. Adoptions that have been finalized before August 1, 2021 and are in Good Standing by 11:59 p.m. on December 31, 2021 will retain their current set of Adopt-a-Street signs.
