Taught by local experts and Texas A&M AgriLife Extension, these upcoming classes offer practical tips to help you grow a healthier, more successful garden. 

Do's and Don'ts of Container Gardening

Saturday, September 5 | 10 a.m. 

Learn how to choose the right container, plants and soil to grow beautiful flowers and flavorful herbs and vegetables. This class will cover the basics of successful container gardening and help you make the most of your growing space.

Grand Prairie residents are invited to join this free community gardening class taught by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension. 

Learn more about different soil types, how to test your soil and irrigation practices that can help your garden thrive.

Rain Barrels Class 

Saturday, September 19 | 10 a.m. 

Discover how to harvest rainwater using a budget-friendly 55-gallon food-quality container. The class will also cover professionally designed rainwater harvesting systems and ways to incorporate rainwater collection into your landscape.

Community Gardening Class: Fruits and Their Pests 

Thursday, September 24 | 5:30 to 7:30 p.m. 

Learn more about growing fruit and identifying common pests that can affect your plants. This free community gardening class is taught by Texas A&M AgriLife Extension and is open to Grand Prairie residents.
