Grand Prairie Launches ACCESS GP to Support Small Business Growth
Published on September 21, 2026
Grand Prairie’s small business community has a new resource with the launch of ACCESS GP, the City’s Small Business Enterprise program and small business initiative.
ACCESS GP is designed to connect local businesses with information, education, resources, networking, and opportunities that can help them grow and strengthen their businesses. The program also helps businesses interested in working with the City better understand contracting opportunities and navigate the City’s procurement process.
The program is administered by the City’s Management Services Department.
“Grand Prairie’s small businesses are what make our community special,” said Latifia Coleman, Assistant Director of Management Services. “Growing our small businesses grow our economy.
ACCESS GP aims to make sure local businesses know about the resources, connections, and opportunities available to help them grow and engage with the City and the broader business community.
“Helping small businesses thrive is one of our City Council’s top priorities,” Coleman said. “We are excited to offer new opportunities for success that benefit all of Grand Prairie.”
Small businesses interested in these opportunities can learn more at the Engage, Educate, Elevate kickoff event October 22, at the Ruthe Jackson Center. The half-day symposium will connect local small businesses to upcoming contracting opportunities, meaningful networking opportunities, and resources to grow their businesses.
