A tax rate of $0.660000 per $100 valuation has been proposed by the governing body of the City of Grand Prairie. A public hearing on the proposed tax rate will be held during the City Council Meeting at 6:30 p.m. on September 15, 2026, at 300 W. Main St., Grand Prairie, TX 75050.

President Biden has added Dallas County to the Presidential Disaster Declaration ensuring that residents who were impacted by last week’s severe weather are eligible to apply for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) Individual Assistance program.
The program assists with expenses such as temporary housing, emergency home repairs, uninsured and underinsured personal property losses, disaster legal services, disaster unemployment assistance, and medical, dental, and funeral expenses.
