The City of Grand Prairie adopted a tax rate that will raise more taxes for maintenance and operations than last year’s tax rate.The tax rate will effectively be raised by 2.13 percent and will raise taxes for maintenance and operations on a $100,000 home by approximately $-.22. In accordance with Tax Code § 26.05(b)(2).

On Saturday, May 2, 2026, Grand Prairie voters approved all three propositions included in the City’s 2026 General Obligation Bond Election. The election authorized $327 million in investments for street improvements, public safety facilities and technology infrastructure, and parks and recreational projects throughout the city.
The voter-approved bond program includes:
• Proposition A - Street Improvements: $209.5 million • Proposition B - Public Safety Improvements: $78.5 million • Proposition C - Parks & Recreation Improvements: $39 million
2026 Bond Program
