Celebrating Grand Prairie’s Grandest Trees with the Woman's Club

The City of Grand Prairie is delighted to announce that the Woman’s Club of Grand Prairie’s nominated tree has been recognized in this year’s Grandest Tree Competition! This annual event celebrates the city’s incredible trees and the natural beauty that makes Grand Prairie a wonderful place to live.

The Woman’s Club’s tree stood out to judges for its impressive height, striking form, and healthy appearance, earning the organization recognition from the City.

About the Woman’s Club of Grand Prairie
Since 1967, the Woman’s Club of Grand Prairie has dedicated itself to supporting the local community. From providing scholarships to local students to helping children in need, the Club’s efforts have enriched the lives of Grand Prairie residents for nearly six decades.

Celebrating All Trees
The Grandest Tree Competition is about more than just a single winner, it’s an opportunity for everyone to showcase their favorite trees and highlight the city’s beautiful urban forest. From towering oaks to uniquely shaped pecans and rare neighborhood species, every tree submitted reflects the charm and diversity of Grand Prairie’s greenery.

Participants are judged on height, trunk circumference, estimated age, form, and overall health, but every entry contributes to the shared celebration of nature in our city.
