Last night, at approximately 6:16 p.m., the Grand Prairie Fire Department responded to a structure fire in the 3600 block of Park Ridge Drive. On arrival, firefighters found visible flames coming from the single-story home and quickly began a primary search for a reported trapped male victim. Firefighters located the adult male in a bedroom and transported him to a local hospital in critical condition, where he later succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced deceased.
The identity of the deceased will be released by the Dallas County Medical Examiner’s Office once the next of kin has been notified.
The cause of the fire is under investigation.
