City of Grand Prairie Communications & Marketing Department Earns an Emmy and Five More Awards
The City of Grand Prairie is celebrating an exceptional year after earning six major statewide awards for outstanding storytelling, video production, and public outreach. These accomplishments highlight the City’s Communications & Marketing Department, whose creative leadership and dedicated work made every award possible.
Lone Star Emmy Award
This weekend, the City earned a Lone Star Emmy for Amor GP, an original project produced by the Communications & Marketing Department. The piece was honored for its compelling storytelling and its celebration of the people who make Grand Prairie unique.
TAMIO and TATOA Awards
Earlier this year, Amor GP also earned a TAMI Award from the Texas Association of Municipal Information Officers for Best Outreach Marketing and Communications Campaign for Underserved Audiences. This recognition reflects the department’s commitment to creating accessible, resonant, and community-focused communications.
In addition, the Communications & Marketing Department received four awards this month from the Texas Association of Telecommunications Officers and Advisors (TATOA), marking another significant achievement for the team.
