On April 12, 2022, the City of Grand Prairie launched Via Grand Prairie on-demand, shared transportation service. Think of it as a minibus that comes when you want, where you want – give us your pickup and drop-off address and we’ll provide a few ride options. Choose the option that works best for you, and we’ll send a driver your way.
Follow these steps to get on board in no time.
Download the Via Grand Prairie app from the App Store or Google Play Store and follow the signup steps.
Enter your pickup and drop-off addresses. If you’re ready to go right away, tap Book This Ride. You can also book rides by calling 214-253-0874.
We’ll assign a pickup spot nearby that helps us avoid detours. Check the app to find out exactly where it is. It may be a short walk from the address you gave us. Meet your driver. If you are in a group using Via Grand Prairie, the driver will wait 3-5 minutes at the designated spot in case you are running late.
Rides are available Monday - Saturday, 6 a.m. - 9 p.m.
For $3 per one-way trip, Via will pick you up in Grand Prairie and take you to your destination in Grand Prairie Monday-Saturday, 6 a.m. – 9 p.m. Add additional passengers in your group for just $1. Seniors (65 ) ride for $2 per trip. Wheelchair accessible vehicles are available.
Via Grand Prairie will also serve four nearby college campuses (two of which are a $4 trip due to distance):

When setting up an account you will be able to add a credit or debit card, or prepaid Visa or Mastercard. When a ride is booked, the rider can pay using the card on file. Credit cards are charged after completing a ride. If paying in cash, exact change is required. Drivers do not accept tips.
You can book a ride using our mobile app or by calling 214-253-0874. Book your ride in seconds. Get picked up in minutes.
Via Grand Prairie is an on-demand service, meaning you should only book a ride a few minutes before you’re ready to leave.
Via Grand Prairie is a shared ride service, so passengers might be getting picked up and dropped off along the way. To keep things running quickly and smoothly, we’ll ask you to meet us at a nearby corner instead of exactly at the address you entered — that way, the driver can get everyone to their destination without making any detours.
Yes! You can let us know you need a WAV in the app or over the phone.
Via Grand Prairie will not replace the city’s Grand Connection bus service, which is specifically for elderly and disabled residents.
