The Grandest Tree Competition

Do you think you’ve found Grand Prairie’s most magnificent tree? Now’s your chance to show it off!
The Grandest Tree Competition invites residents to submit their favorite trees and help us celebrate the natural beauty of our city. Whether it’s a towering oak, a uniquely shaped pecan, or a rare species you’ve spotted in your neighborhood, we want to see it! The prize for winning will be a signed certificate and a swag bag with goodies from the City of Grand Prairie.
How it Works:
Participants can nominate a tree by completing our submission form and submitting a photo below.

Submissions will be judged on the following characteristics:
- Height
- Trunk Circumference
- Estimated Age
- Overall form and branching structure
- Overall health
A panel of judges will review all submissions and crown Grand Prairie’s Grandest Tree.
