The City of Grand Prairie, in collaboration with Dallas County, the Grand Prairie Community Housing Development Organization, Hope 4 All, and the Housing Channel, celebrated the completion of Alice Court, an affordable housing development, with a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Wednesday, April 15 at 9:30 a.m. Alice Court is located at 658 SW 3rd St., Grand Prairie, TX 75051.

“This beautiful neighborhood is an important addition to our city,” said Mayor Ron Jensen. “At Alice Court, families can put down roots in the heart of the metroplex, with access to jobs, schools, and countless amenities. We are proud to welcome our new neighbors and look forward to seeing this community grow and thrive for years to come.”

Homes in Alice Court were made available to individuals and families earning 80 percent of the area’s median income or less. With Grand Prairie’s median income at approximately $76,000, households earning below $60,800 qualified to purchase these high-quality homes at an affordable price.

“Alice Court marks a historic milestone for the City of Grand Prairie," said City Manager Bill Hills. "It’s our first partnership to expand single-family homeownership opportunities in Grand Prairie. This project reflects the strength of our partnership with Dallas County and the many organizations that helped bring this vision to life and we look forward to building more housing opportunities like this in the years ahead.

The Alice Court development features 10 modern homes, each offering three bedrooms, two bathrooms, and a two-car garage. Designed with energy efficiency in mind, the homes also showcase a variety of finishes. Construction of the homes was completed in just five months. Conveniently located just south of downtown in the heart of Grand Prairie, Alice Court provides residents with easy access to schools and community services.
