In observance of Juneteenth, City of Grand Prairie administrative offices will be closed on Friday, June 19. Events leading up to Juneteenth include:
Thursday, June 11, 6-8 p.m.: Volleyball Classic at Dalworth Recreation Center, 2012 Spikes St.
Friday, June 12, 6:30-9:30 p.m.: Block Party at EpicCentral, West of State Highway 161 between Warrior and Arkansas Lane
Saturday, June 13, 9 a.m.-5 p.m.: Parade begins in the Dalworth neighborhood at 9 a.m. and proceeds to Tyre Park. Cookout at Tyre Park, 2327 Tyre St.

The Landfill and Garbage Collection/Recycling The landfill will be open Friday, June 19. Garbage will be picked up Friday, June 19 as usual. This is not a holiday that causes a shift in garbage collection. For more details, visit https://www.gptx.org/garbage
Libraries – closed, all libraries have bookdrops for the return of items after hours. Items can also be returned to the Lake Parks Book Locker 24/7/ The eBranch is always open at gptx.org/library, with ebooks, music, online learning and streaming media.
