Grand Prairie Budget Department Unveils New Look for FY 2026 Online Budget Book
The City of Grand Prairie’s Budget Department is proud to launch a newly updated, more user-friendly presentation of the city’s Fiscal Year 2025–2026 Budget Book, now accessible online via the city’s portal on OpenGov.
The redesigned FY 2026 budget site features a reorganized layout and intuitive navigation, making it easier than ever for residents, stakeholders and city staff to explore detailed financial information. The online Budget Book now includes clearly defined sections such as Property Tax Information; City Manager’s Budget Message; City Organizational Chart; Funds (General Fund, Enterprise Funds, Internal Service, Special Revenue, etc.); Departments; Capital Projects; and a full Appendix with debt schedules, service-level improvements, and authorized positions.
Since selecting OpenGov in 2022, the City of Grand Prairie has leveraged the platform to streamline budget development and publishing. This new public-facing format is part of the city’s ongoing commitment to open government and fiscal accountability.
Key highlights of the new online Budget Book:
-
Comprehensive breakdowns for all city funds — general, enterprise, capital and special revenue.
-
Department-level context, including support services, public safety, utilities, parks & recreation, and more.
-
Easy-to-navigate capital project listings across multiple categories (streets, water/wastewater, public facilities, parks, safety, and more).
-
A full appendix containing glossary, authorized staffing, service improvements and debt schedules.
Residents and stakeholders are encouraged to review the FY 2026 Budget Book at the city’s OpenGov page and explore the city’s financial planning, priorities, and long-term commitments.
