Belt Line and I-30 Intersection Upgrade Project

Mural on the wall at the intersection of I-30 and Belt Line Road. The mural depicts a prairie scene with buffalo drinking water and grazing.

Beginning Jan. 9, TxDot contractors will begin work on the Belt Line Road and I-30 intersection in Grand Prairie to power-wash, refresh landscaping and irrigation, and paint the coping around the mural.  This project is the result of the city winning the Keep Texas Beautiful Governor’s Award in 2020.  During the 90-day project, there will be daily traffic control installation as needed between 9:00 a.m. and 3:30 p.m. daily for workers’ safety.  This may cause minor delays as we enhance this major gateway to the city seen by millions of people a year.
