The Grand Prairie Genealogical Society holds its monthly meeting on the first Thursday of each month at the Grand Prairie Memorial Library, 901 Conover Drive, Grand Prairie, TX 75050. Visitors are welcome to this very informative meeting. A meet and greet will be at 6:30 and the meeting will begin at 7PM.
In genealogical research, one often finds themselves following a "rabbit trail" - a family story or thread that leads nowhere. Or does it? Lewis Carroll's Alice (ofAlice's Adventures in Wonderland) falls a long way down a rabbit hole while following a rabbit trail. There, she finds herself in a hall with many locked doors of different sizes. When the genealogist falls down the rabbit hole, he/she, like Alice, will find many locked doors. Sometimes, conflicting and negative evidence will illuminate or challenge other findings, and more importantly, open locked doors. Join Tara Kenyon at the March 7, 2019 GPGSTX meeting to acquire skills to glean important information found down the rabbit hole.
