Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful offers many classes to educate adults and children about what they can do to make Grand Prairie the cleanest, greenest, and most beautiful place to live, work, and play. All classes can be modified for various age groups and time restrictions. Classes are available upon request and speaker availability.

Class Descriptions

Compost 101
Class provides a basic understanding of the science behind creating compost. Participants help to build a compost pile! This class is normally offered a few times per year through the Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful Community Garden Program.

Junior Master Gardener
Program that encourages children to explore their natural world through hands-on activities that introduce them to age appropriate gardening principles. Curriculum and project kits are available through the Green and Clean Campus Program.

Litter Hurts
Program that focuses on the negative effects of litter, what Keep Grand Prairie Beautiful and the City of Grand Prairie are doing to combat litter and what YOU can do to prevent litter.

Waste in Place
Program created by Keep America Beautiful that is used to help students learn about litter prevention, beautification and community greening, recycling, and managing solid waste. Curriculum and project kits are available through the Green and Clean Campus Program.
