The City of Grand Prairie Emergency Management handles a variety of tasks within the City to include planning for emergencies and disasters, responding to incidents, as a coordinating agency, directing mitigation against hazards, and assisting the City of Grand Prairie citizens in recovery after an incident.

Please review the City of Grand Prairie Hazard Mitigation Plan(PDF, 5MB) and email [oem@gptx.org] your ideas for how the local government can help residents feel safer from natural disasters by close of business 10/10/23. Your ideas will be used to inform the Local Hazard Mitigation Plan with the intent to protect people and property from hazards such as severe weather or wildfires.

The final plan will be submitted to the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) for approval.
