The City of Grand Prairie and Freese and Nichols consultants have developed a Housing Analysis Policy for the city. As a result of significant high density development, City Council initiated a city-wide housing stock analysis to determine the appropriate development approach for future housing development. The analysis and resulting policy guidelines are intended to set a foundation for future housing recommendations and approvals. The proposed guidelines were adopted by resolution on August 17, 2021. The resolution details specific criteria and guidelines that will assist in the review of future development request throughout the city.
