When can I ride?

NEW extended hours:

Monday - Thursday: 6am - 9pm
Friday - Saturday: 6am - 10:30pm
Sunday: 6am - 2pm

How much do rides cost?

For $3 per one-way trip, Via will pick you up in Grand Prairie and take you to your destination in Grand Prairie.

Add additional passengers in your group for just $1. Seniors (65 ) ride for $2 per trip.

Wheelchair accessible vehicles are available.

Via Grand Prairie will also serve four nearby college campuses (two of which are a $4 trip due to distance):

  • Tarrant County Community College: $3/trip
  • University of Texas at Arlington: $3/trip
  • Dallas Baptist University: $4/trip
  • Dallas County College - Mountain View: $4/trip
  • Medical City Arlington: $4/trip
  • USMD Hospital: $4/trip
  • Methodist Mansfield Medical Center: $4/trip

Rides to West Irving Train Station for TRE commuter rail service between Dallas and Fort Worth will be $3/trip. 

How do I pay for my rides?

When setting up an account you will be able to add a credit or debit card, or prepaid Visa or Mastercard.

When a ride is booked, the rider can pay using the card on file. Credit cards are charged after completing a ride.

If paying in cash, exact change is required. Drivers do not accept tips.

How do I book a ride?

Can I book a ride in advance?

Via Grand Prairie is an on-demand service, meaning you should only book a ride a few minutes before you’re ready to leave.

Why do I have to walk to a pickup location?

Via Grand Prairie is a shared ride service, so passengers might be getting picked up and dropped off along the way. 

To keep things running quickly and smoothly, we’ll ask you to meet us at a nearby corner instead of exactly at the address you entered — that way, the driver can get everyone to their destination without making any detours.

Are wheelchair accessible vehicles (WAV) available?

Yes! You can let us know you need a WAV in the app or over the phone.

Does Via replace the Grand Connection?

Via Grand Prairie will not replace the city’s Grand Connection bus service, which is specifically for elderly and disabled residents.
