Party down at the Grand Prairie Libraries. We host events for all ages, so get ready to rock , roll, craft and celebrate.

Library Mardi Gras

Laissez les bons temps rouler! Let the good times roll at the Warmack Library by decorating your very own float, a festive mask, and sampling some King Cake.

  • Warmack Library: Tuesday, February 17 at 5 p.m.


Pokemon Party 

Pokemon trainers unite! Join us for Pokemon-themed crafts and activities, while socializing with fellow Pokemon enthusiasts!

  • Warmack Library: Friday, February 27 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.


Lunar New Year

Brought to you by the Friends of the Library. Celebrate this auspicious occasion!  Ring in the year of the horse with activities that celebrate this auspicious occasion! All Ages.

Saturday, February 28 at the Warmack Library.

  • 11 a.m.- 12 p.m.: Crafts and activities
  • 12 - 12:30 p.m.: Lion Dance Performance by Phap Quang Temple
  • 11 a.m. - 1 p.m.: Miniature Horse Petting Zoo by Country Critters Farm

Note: Noise blocking headphones or earplugs are encouraged for Lion Dance Performance.  A limited number of earplugs will be provided onsite.  


Baby Rave 

Enjoy family-friendly electronic dance music and get moving with scarves and hula hoops at this special rave just for little ones!

  • Main Library: Wednesday, March 4 from 11 a.m. - 12 p.m.


Barbie Party

Barbies, Kens, and all our friends are invited to this special celebration of Barbie's birthday! Bring your own doll along for the fun. Make accessories for your doll and get sparkling with glitter tattoos!

  • Warmack Library: Tuesday, March 10 from 6:30 - 7:30 p.m.


KPop Demon Hunters Dance Party

(Ages 8-18)

Hello friend! Get off the couch, couch, couch and join us for a Golden hour of music, crafts, and snacks inspired by the movie KPop Demon Hunters! This

program is exactly what it sounds like!

  • Main Library: Monday, March 16 from 5:30 - 6:30 p.m.

 

Bluey Bash

(Ages 2-10)

Wackadoo! Join us for a celebration of our favorite Blue Heeler and her family. We'll have a variety of games, activities, and imaginative play.

Día del Niño

(All Ages)

Join us for carnival games, face-painting, balloon animals, and a performance by El Show de Toty y Andy!

Late Night at the Library: Prom

(Ages 21+)

Get ready to dance the night away! Whether you were too cool for school the first time or this is your second time around, all are welcome to our Adults-Only Prom! The theme is A Night to Remember.

Note: There will be a $5 cash fee at the door.
