Mobile Library

We're taking library programs on the road, with fun, free activities on our Mobile Library. Come find us! See all our mobile library stops, including our regular weekly ones.

Crawlin' Creatures (Ages 5+) 

Come on down to the Grand Peninsula Mobile Library stop to make a Crawlin' Creature Creation! Kids will be able to make simple stamps out of foam and stamp all over to make their creation. 

Note: While supplies last.

Play in the Park (Ages 2–5)

Join us outside for water play, bubbles, and hands-on sensory activities!

Books & B-Sides (Ages 16+)

Come down to Forever Young Records (the largest music store in Texas!) to pick out some vinyl with the best Bsides and borrow books from our mobile library.

Mobile Library: Movie Night! (Ages 5+)

Join us for an outdoor screening of the ‘80s classic, Harry and the Hendersons. It's a heartwarming and hilarious adventure about a family who discover that Bigfoot isn't quite what they expected. Note: Bring your own blanket.

Sunny Science (All Ages)

Join us in the sunshine for some heated science activities! Note: Supplies first come, first served. Tents and water will be provided to beat the heat!

Teen Gaming Hour (Ages 11–17)

Come hang out aboard the mobile library for an hour of video games and board games at Mi Familia Park! Popsicles and water will be provided while supplies last.

Pages in the Prairie (Ages 18+)

Celebrate stories and community with us throughout Grand Prairie! Mobile libraries will be on site for library card signups and to check out books. Enjoy a book and everything our Grand Prairie businesses have to offer!

Paleta Party (All Ages)

Beat the summer heat with this refreshing storytime featuring a limited number of free paletas (popsicles)!
