Homeschool Art Studio (Ages 5-14)

Learn about an artist, their style and technique, and participate in a hands-on art project.

Select Wednesdays at 10 a.m. at the Warmack Library

Homeschool Homeroom (Ages 5-14): 

Math Gameschooling

Make math practice fun by joining us for math games that work on number sense, counting, addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, fractions, and money.

Rube Golderg Engineering Design Project

Get ready to build the wildest, wackiest machine ever -just to do one simple task!

Note: Participants must attend all of the sessions in order to participate in making a Rube Goldberg Machine on Feb 19. Contact rwrobel@gptx.org with questions.

Main Library: Select Thursdays at 12 p.m.

  • Feb 5: Learn what a Rube Goldberg machine is, see an example Rube Goldberg Machine in action, and learn the steps of the engineering design process. 
  • Feb 12: Learn all about simple machines and types of energy that can power your Rube Goldberg Machine.
  • Feb 19: Make your very own Rube Goldberg Machine with library supplies!

 

Living Museum

Choose a figure from history, dress in costume, and stand "frozen" like a wax figure, then come to "life" with the press of a pretend button to deliver a short speech about your figure's accomplishments.

  • Apr 9: Informational session and sign up for the living museum. Choose your historical figure and
  • begin research and writing.
  • Apr 16: Work Day! Supplies will be available for homeschoolers to work on their presentations and
  • props.
  • Apr 23: Presentation Day! Homeschoolers participating should arrive at noon to set up. The Living Museum will open for exhibit at 12:30 p.m.

 

Airport Field Trip

Take off on an exciting adventure to your local municipal airport! Students will get a behind-the-scenes look at how airports work and the people who keep everything running smoothly. It's a fun and educational journey into the world of aviation!

Teen Homeschool Club (Ages 11-17)

Join a monthly program for homeschooled teens to socialize in a safe environment. Meet new friends, play tabletop games, get crafty, and dive into video games!
