Holiday Hours & Quiet Zone

There is no regular library programming December 24th through January 2. 

The Grand Prairie Libraries will close at 5 p.m. on Wednesday, December 24. Libraries will remain closed December 25 and 26. There are no mobile library stops on December 24. 

All Libraries have bookdrops for the return of items after hours. Items that are checked out will renew automatically unless they are on hold for another patron.

Stressed out by unexpected fireworks or noisy celebrations?

The Main Library will host a Quiet Zone Wednesday, December 31, beginning at 8 p.m., and continuing until 2 a.m. A limited number of noise-cancelling headphones are available to borrow, or feel free to bring you own. Kids enjoy our play area and computer learning games; while adults and teens can access our seating areas and computers.

The Warmack and Shotwell Libraries will close at 6 p.m. on December 31.

All Libraries are closed Thursday, January 1.  

Regular library programming resumes Monday, January 5.
