Physical activity program

Come explore mindfulness in this movement-based mindfulness practice. No dance experience is needed. Wear clothes you can move in; socks or barefoot recommended.

Is Dancing Mindfulness for me?

  • If you enjoy dancing, regardless of skill
  • If you enjoy music
  • If you like to explore new activities
  • You have been feeling stressed, blocked, stuck, tense, happy, sad etc.
  • If you are ambulatory, non-ambulatory or somewhere in between

Dancing Mindfulness is for you!

In class, Stacia will provided prompts for movement, but you are also encouraged to explore movement that feels right to you. We will focus on our breath and staying present in the current moment, which is the essence of mindfulness. While the class is great for experienced dancers, those with no dance experience can have just as rich of an experience. The practice is adaptable to many ability levels.
