Grand Prairie’s Public Art Program celebrates Arts and Humanities month with the release of the City Hearts film, by Film Director Patty Newton, documenting the development of a public art project that trained 10 ex-offenders to do commercial thinset tile installation while working artist Pamela Summers to install a 233-ft long, recycled-glass, tile mosaic mural along I-30. The art project and the film were funded by grants from the National Endowment for the Arts and a generous donation from the Grand Prairie Sports Facilities Development Corp.
