About Grand Prairie Sister Cities

The mission of Grand Prairie Sister Cities is to cultivate successful relationships and international understanding among the youth, adults, businesses and organizations of Grand Prairie and its sister cities through educational, leadership and exchange programs.

For over 20 years, we have brought together residents from Grand Prairie and our sister cities in an effort to build international friendships and create understanding among people from around the world.

Today, Grand Prairie is proud to have sister cities representing diverse regions of the world:

  • Baden bei Wien, Austria
  • Charlesbourg, Canada
  • Kalush, Ukraine
  • Gueishan, Chinese Taipei (Taiwan)

Adult Programs

Adult programs include education, arts and culture exchanges, professional and customized exchanges, sports exchanges, opportunities to host international visitors and economic relations initiatives. Local programs and networking opportunities emphasize social and political changes that influence the world.

Youth Programs

Youth programs will include education, arts, cultural and leadership exchanges.

Grand Prairie members enjoy multicultural experience both locally and abroad, participating in educational and service-learning projects that offer a first-hand understanding of other cultures.

Home hosting and delegation leadership are just a few of the international experiences that make the Sister Cities programs unique.
