The City of Grand Prairie has been notified that the City of Midlothian experienced a water main line break due to drought and peak demand.

The leak has been repaired and water service is restored. The City of Grand Prairie does not supply water to this area; however, we are working closely with Midlothian and the water supplier to update you as we receive information.

Inframark, the water supplier for this area, is working with the Texas Commission on Environmental Quality, on water quality in the system.  A boil water notice may or may not be issued, however, if you are concerned with your water, follow these guideline:

  • Water should be brought to a vigorous rolling boil and then boiled for two additional minutes.
