Kids Celebrate at the Grand Prairie Libraries

There’s all kinds of things to celebrate at the Grand Prairie Libraries.  Join us for any of these great programs for kids. All are free, but space and supplies may be limited.

 

Celebrate National Poetry Month: Poetry in Motion

Main Library: Wednesday, April 4, 4:30 p.m.

For all ages. Celebrate National Poetry Month with the Dallas Poets Community. In this family friendly program, you’ll hear a variety of fun poems and have the chance to create and perform one of your own.

 

Celebrate El Día del Niño

Shotwell Library: Friday, April 27, 5-7 p.m

For all ages. Join us with your family for a celebration just for kids! We’ll have special guests, activities and lots of fun in the Shotwell Gym.

 

Celebrate Mother’s Day: Mexican Mother’s Day Celebration

Shotwell Library:Thursday, May 10, 4-5 p.m.

For all ages. Come celebrate Mother’s Day in Mexico. Make something special to take home to Mama. Supplies are limited. First come, first served.

 

Celebrate the Start of Summer

Main Library: Saturday, June 2 from 10 am to noon

We kick off our "Libraries Rock!" Summer Reading Club with great music and good friends. Enjoy face painting and fun activities, plus a special performance by Mariachi Espuelas de Plata. Meet some of your favorite characters like Chase from Paw Patrol, and Branch the Troll. You'll be able to pick up your reading log and our super Event Guide full of great summer fun
