Grand Prairie Farmers Market Ranks No. 1 in Texas
The Grand Prairie Farmers Market has been named the No. 1 farmers market in Texas for the second consecutive year, and No. 6 in the nation by American Farmland Trust. The market received the 2016 designation for strengthening the link between family farmers, farming, land and food. With continual growth each year, the Grand Prairie Farmers Market has become a vital part of the downtown Grand Prairie weekend, and brings in people from outside of the city as well.
The Grand Prairie Farmers Market is open Saturdays from late March through mid-December and features locally grown fruits and vegetables, plants, tamales, baked goods, salsas, dips, relishes, eggs, honey, chips, soaps, candles and more.
