Alliance Skate Park Hosts Skate Program for Disabled

Wheelchairs will flip and spin at Alliance Skate Park, 1002 Lone Star Parkway, on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 6-8 p.m. at a new WCMX Program for people with disabilities.

Wheelchairs will flip and spin at Alliance Skate Park, 1002 Lone Star Parkway, on Wednesday, Aug. 13, 6-8 p.m. at a new WCMX Program for people with disabilities. The program is scheduled to continue every two weeks and is geared for novice skaters and pros. All instruction is free and includes helmets and pads.

The WCMX program is a partnership with RISE (Recovery-Inspiration-Success-Empowerment), a nonprofit organization with a mission to assist persons with physical challenges to Recover, Inspire, Succeed and Empower themselves and others by providing inclusive adaptive recreational sports programs.
