It is quick, easy and safe to donate blood. Every year, 4.5 million Americans receive donated blood, and blood banks are always in need. In the Dallas-Fort Worth area alone, more than 1000 people a day must donate in order to maintain the local blood supply. All donors should eat a low-fat meal and drink plenty of fluids before donating. Photo identification must be provided.
Also on June 14, the Farmers Market hosts the 6th Annual Car and Bike Show.
The Grand Prairie Farmers Market features locally grown fruits and vegetables, meats, honey, pasta, spices, tamales, candles, soaps and much more. The market is open every Saturday, March to December, from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
