As a result of the recent severe storms, there are a few neighborhoods that have multiple downed fences, roof shingle, carport and/or other exterior damage. Residents should be encouraged to work with their insurance companies to repair structural damage. Residents who have storm related tree brush may place brush at the curb (roadside if no curb) and Streets Services will pick it up on regular scheduled weeks.

Important Facts to Know

  • Brush must be neatly piled (not scattered) at least 2 feet from utility poles, trees, gas and water meters, fire hydrants, fences, mailboxes, sprinkler heads, and any other obstacle that would prevent collection.
  • Brush will not be picked up if parked vehicles or other obstructions are present.
  • Brush cannot at any time obstruct any city sidewalk, right-of-way, or view of oncoming traffic.
  • Brush includes tree limbs up to 10 inches in diameter, shrubs, other parts of shrubs and trees. Please note that this program is intended to assist residents with brush clippings and is not intended for the removal of entire large trees or branches over 10” in diameter, which must be done by a contractor at the property owner’s/resident’s expense.
