Main Street Fest - April 20-22
The City of Grand Prairie Parks, Arts & Recreation Department is hosting the 7th Annual Main Street Fest. This free community event is scheduled for Friday through Sunday, April 20-22, on the 200 block of W. Main Street and surrounding areas. Along with our selected performers, the festival will celebrate the fun, festive, family atmosphere of Grand Prairie with live music featuring Texas and national country acts like Micky and the Motorcars, the Tejas Brothers, Wade Bowen, Bradley Banning, Josh Turner, and alternative, rock n’ roll, contemporary, hip-hop, tejano-conjunto sounds from La Mafia and so much more! Be sure to enjoy a variety of spectacular novelty entertainment, carnival rides, an arts & crafts area, business expo vendors, four entertainment stages, food and beer gardens, an Earth Day inspired KIDZONE, and plenty of fun for all!
Over the past four years, the event has attracted more than 65,000 patrons. With great weather and the success from last year; the 2018 festival is projected to bring an attendance of 28,000 visitors! The improved access to the event with the opening of Main Street in the heart of Grand Prairie will make traveling to the festival and leaving after the event much easier and quicker for all.
Since 2014, the festival has received more than thirty one (31) state-wide awards, by the Texas Festivals and Events Association and Texas Recreation and Parks Society and was named the 2016 Zenith Festival of the Year: #2 Best Festival in the State of Texas, behind the Texas State Fair.
