Adopt-a-Pet assists with re-homing your dog in a safe, reliable, and free way.

Paws in the City Program

Have you done an independent rescue or need to rehome your pet? Paws in the City has a Guest Dog Program which enables the pet to be posted on their site and also enables you to participate in any of their PAWS events.

Petfinder

Petfinder is an online, searchable database of animals who need homes.

Home to Home

Home to Home gives people who can no longer keep their pets the opportunity to find new, loving homes without having to drop pets off at the shelter. Pets go from one home into another.

Animals in need of new homes are searchable on this website and posted to our Facebook page.

Found Pet Tips and Tricks

If you have found a pet please follow the instructions below to have the best chance to reunite the pet with their owner.

  1. Bring the pet to your local vet clinic to get scanned for a microchip.
  2. File out the Found Pet Report on our website.
  3. Post pet as "Found" on sites like Nextdoor, Craigslist and Facebook Groups: Lost and Found Pets of Grand Prairie.
  4. Hang fliers in the area where pet was found.
