Animal Services Issue

Report Barking Complaint Online, if you are experiencing a barking dog nuisance, you can file a complaint to us. Please note that we will need the exact address and video of the barking dog. Your name and information will not be given to the dog's owner(s).

Report Deceased Animal Pick-Up Online. A report can also be made by calling 972-237-8575, Monday - Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m. If a request for service is submitted online after normal business hours, staff will usually not be available to respond to your request until the next business day.

Report Found Animal Online, found dogs, cats and other types of pets in your area. A report can also be made by calling 972-237-8575, Monday - Friday between 8:00 a.m. and 5:00 p.m.

Apartment/Landlord or Hotel/Motel Issue

Brush Program Issue

For the convenience of Grand Prairie residents, the City operates a Brush Pickup Program. This once-per-month service provides curbside pickup of tree limbs and brush that are not bundled or bagged. This is for brush and tree limbs that is too large for the City's twice weekly garbage collection.

Drainage or Erosion Issue

Call 972-237-8536 or email DrainageStatus@gptx.org to get the status of an existing complaint.

Foodborne Illness

Report any food poisoning incidents if the food involved came from a restaurant or commercial outlet to the City of Grand Prairie Environmental Quality Division. Give a detailed, but short account of the incident. If possible include a 72 hour food history. If the food is a commercial product, have it in hand so you can describe it. For concerns of foodborne illness in Grand Prairie establishments call 972-237-8055.

Code Complaint

File a home or business code complaint (such as high grass, junk vehicles, etc.) with the Code Compliance Division.

File an apartment/landlord or hotel/motel complaint with the Housing and Neighborhood Services Department.

Noise Complaint

To report a noise ordinance violation, contact the Grand Prairie Police Department non-emergency number at 972-237-8790.

To report an animal noise issue, such as excessive dog barking, file a barking complaint online.

To report a commercial noise issue, contact the Public Health and Environmental Quality Department at 972-237-8055.

Overhanging Tree Limbs or Vegetation Issue

Pruning TreesThe City of Grand Prairie does not provide maintenance to trees located in private properties, if a tree trunk is on your property, you are responsible for maintaining it. The owner is responsible for making sure any tree on your property is healthy and there are no known hazards.

Report Police Incident or Issue Online. If you have an emergency or important time-sensitive crime information, communicate this information with the Grand Prairie Police Department by 9-1-1 emergency telephone service or call the appropriate unit within the department.
