The Grand Prairie Library and the Grand Prairie Parks, Arts & Recreation Department present a free Fall Gardening Series in September.
City horticulturist and arborist Susan Henson will present 3 classes on flowers, landscaping, and gardening for food.
Programs will be held at the Grand Prairie Main Library, located at 901 Conover Drive. All classes will run from 6:30 to 8:30 pm.
Thursday, Sept 11th – Fall into Gardening
Fall gardens are for food and fun. Find out how to grow a garden when it’s not too hot, there aren’t as many weeds and watering is kept to a minimum. Have fun and put food on the table!

Attracting Monarchs and more to your garden is easy. Learn how to turn your garden into a butterfly way station and see the beauty of nature unfold before your eyes! See monarchs on the wing at Flight of the Monarch, at Central Park on September 27.

Learn how to use native and adaptive plants to turn your home landscape into the envy of your block and get your landscaping budget, water bill and weeding under control.
