Support your library and strut your pink stuff when you Flock to the Library, a one-of-a-kind contest with one-of-a-kind entrants.
Plastic flamingos are available from any Grand Prairie library for a $5 donation. Decorate your flamingo with paint, pens, embellishments, feathers, or whatever you dream up. Return your unique creation to any library by March 23 to be eligible for judging. Your entry will be numbered and entered into its category. There are categories for adults, children and teens, school classes, and city departments. Flamingos will be on display at all branches.
Prizes will be awarded at 6 p.m. on March 27 at the Grand Prairie Main Library. Flamingos will remain on display at the libraries through the month of April. Flamingos can be picked up starting May 1.
