Animal Shelter Welfare Fund Depleted
Posted Date: 4/19/2013

Prairie Paws Adoption Center, 2222 W. Warrior Trail, is helping to raise $5,000 to cover the cost of major medical care needed to save adoptable pets at the shelter. Recently, the fund was depleted by a surgery to remove a dislocated eyeball of a Bichon mix, now named Pirate, which was hit by a car.

Other than now missing one eye and having to wear a cone for a few weeks, Pirate is a gentle and sweet-natured little boy full of love and kisses. Help us restore his mobility and health by donating to the welfare fund by July 31. Bring your donations to the animal shelter Tuesday-Friday 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. and Saturday 10 a.m. - 5 p.m., or mail your check payable "Prairie Paws" with "Welfare Fund" in the memo line to:
