Library adds eBooks
Posted Date: 7/16/2013

The Grand Prairie Public Libraries add ebooks to their collection, with the Freading platform of ebooks from Library Ideas. Many patrons will already be familiar with the platform: Library Ideas is the creator of Freegal, which provides Grand Prairie Library patrons with downloadable songs in mp3 format.

Visit www.gptx.org/library to sign up for Freading. You can also sign up at your nearest branch library. Library Ideas will email you your login and password.

You can view and download ebooks from the Freading site. The site will prompt you to create an Adobe Digital Editions login and password. Digital Editions is the program you’ll use to read the ebooks after downloading.

Freading hosts more than 23,000 titles. Titles are available to multiple users simultaneously. Enjoy books from authors like William G. Tapply, Joanne Fluke, Sara Gruen, and more.

The Grand Prairie Main Library is available at 901 Conover Drive. The Warmack Branch, located in south Grand Prairie, is at 760 Bardin Rd at Robinson. The Bowles Branch is located in the Bowles Life Center and 2750 Graham St.
